When we created our team's mission statement in 2021, one of the most important parts to all of us was community and finding ways to give back. At the beginning of 2022, we started a new program - a way to give back to local non-profits, while including our clients in that as well. We decided to give a portion of our commissions from each transaction in 2022 to a non-profit organization. As a team, we chose on 4 non-profits that were near and dear to all of our hearts and after each closing, we let our the client choose where the donation would go.

After a successful 2022, we donated $4,000 to 4 amazing organizations:

HAWS - Human Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha County - is an open-admission, no-kill shelter dedicated to strengthening the relationship between animals and humans through adoptions and education - making a more compassionate community possible.

Pearls for Teen Girls is improving the quality of life and strengthening the community one girl at a time by empowering young women with self-development tools, guidance and support to strive for better, brighter futures by living out the PEARLS values: Personal Responsibility, Empathy, Awareness, Respect, Leadership and Support.

CVMA - Combat Veterans Association - is supporting and defending those who have defended our country and our freedoms. Their focus is to help veteran care facilities to provide a warm meal, clothing, shelter and guidance.

Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee's mission is to foster strong, resilient and inclusive communities by providing a continuum of high-quality housing options that support self-sufficiency, good quality of life and the opportunity to thrive.

For 2023, we have chosen 4 more non-profits, all who serve our community wonderful ways:

Canine Cupids is a foster home-based rescue. Their mission is to protect and improve the lives of the homeless, neglected and exceptional needs dogs in Milwaukee and neighboring areas, and to place them in permanent, loving homes.

Arts @ Large is a foundation for enriching, educational experiences in the arts for lifelong learners, from kindergarten to retirement. For 20 years, they have provided our communities and schools with equitable access to an education that includes the arts. They support the schools, local artists and teachers, and in their very own community center.

Sojourner Family Peach Center is the largest nonprofit provider of domestic violence prevention and intervention services in Wisconsin. Their primary goals are to ensure the safety of victims of family violence and provide a pathway out of violence for victims and abusers through opportunities to make positive and lasting changes for themselves and their children.

CVI - Center for Veterans Issues provides housing and supportive services to help improve the quality of life for ALL veterans, their families and the communities in which they live and serve. The Center was founded as a way of providing a consistent, professional, effective and replicable means of moving beyond the advocacy and addressing problems harming low-income veterans and their families.
